About

In the area where the iconic Plastic Club once stood, Casa Tobago opens as a destination for evenings away from the city’s rhythm. Inspired by the model of London’s private clubs, the project reinterprets the idea of an intimate and layered gathering place. The lighting, warm and indirect, highlights selected details: vintage furnishings, soft fabrics, overlapping textures. Exposed systems on the ceiling create a subtle contrast with the tactile materials below.
Beyond a discreet door with a bell and peephole, the “Speak Easy” room reveals itself as a quiet lounge with low sofas, thick carpets and lamps softly integrated into the upholstery. Former furnishings from the space’s daytime past have been reinterpreted to serve a new use.
The Rosario Amaia room pays homage to its namesake muse. Velvets, fringes, wallpapers and decorative prints evoke an atmosphere suspended between old-fashioned glamour and contemporary eclecticism, blending colonial accents with echoes of Seventies music culture.
The interior palette moves between terracotta and green, weaving a common thread through the rooms. Most furnishings are custom-made by MaisonP, while fabrics and components are curated by Alessandro Mario Cesario.
The space extends across 280 square meters indoors and 80 outdoors, articulated in several functional areas: two open kitchens, a cocktail bar, and distinct dining settings. High counters in Alicante red marble coexist with more secluded lounge zones, balancing conviviality with privacy.
Casa Tobago is an unexpected environment with a warm and reserved atmosphere. A carefully orchestrated play of light, materials and color defines an experience built around intimacy and presence.
