Set in a slightly sunken space in the heart of the historic center, the project captures the reflected light of the sea, evoking its shimmering surface through glossy ceramic finishes and deep tonal variations.
The intervention emerges from the unification of several former units, reshaping a continuous longitudinal space of about 300 sqm beneath a historic palazzo. Glazed tiles extend across floors and walls, creating a vibrant, luminous skin that defines the spatial atmosphere.
Material becomes landscape. The deep blue reflects in multiple hues, amplifying the natural light filtering through the large openings onto the alley. The layout alternates between linear and herringbone patterns, forming ceramic carpets that subtly define the rhythm and hierarchy of the rooms.
The interior design adopts a restrained language, blending colonial references with contemporary elements. Natural wood furnishings, woven cane chairs, stone-like surfaces and recycled paper lights contribute to a layered material narrative, suspended between marine depth and sandy tones.
A space that suggests an inner Mediterranean, removed from cliché, built around a physical relationship with light, texture and memory.
