Located on the top floor of a 1960s building in the heart of Milan, this 350 sqm apartment unfolds over two levels. The project is defined by a careful calibration of light, texture, and materiality — privileging atmosphere over gesture and intimacy.
The entrance opens onto the main living areas: a fluid sequence of lounge, dining, and kitchen spaces. These are connected by a custom-designed glass and metal partition, mediating between openness and enclosure, transparency and depth and an elegant striped walnut boiserie. At the core of the space, a sculptural, flexible wall in sage green fabric — framed in bold red — defines the dining area while integrating media functions to serve both the living and dining zones. Its architectural presence recalls modernist clarity yet retains a sense of domestic warmth.
The palette is composed of refined materials and contrasting textures — glossy lacquer, soft textiles, smoked glass, fluted walnut. These elements engage in a quiet dialogue between reflection and absorption, between saturated colour and muted tone, creating a space that is both grounded and subtly dramatic.
A walnut-clad staircase leads to the upper floor, where a rooftop terrace offers panoramic views over the city skyline. Here, vibrant cushions and a red lacquered table with ceramic inlays introduce a playful and convivial atmosphere — a final, open-air stage in this carefully choreographed interior narrative.
